      Christmas Leftovers GF Sandwich Recipe

      Ingredients:

      • Gluten Free Easy Pita Bread, baked according to package directions
      • Leftover roast turkey or ham slices
      • Leftover stuffing
      • Leftover cranberry sauce
      • Leftover gravy
      • Optional: leftover roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes

      Instructions:

      1. Bake the Bread:

      Bake the bread according to package directions, cut in half, cover with a clean towel to keep warm. Set aside.

      2. Layer Meat:

      Place a generous amount of leftover roast turkey or ham slices inside each pita pocket half. 

      3. Add Stuffing:

      Spread a layer of leftover stuffing on top of the meat. This adds a delicious, savory element to your sandwich.

      4. Cranberry Sauce:

      Spoon a few tablespoons of leftover cranberry sauce onto the other side of the pita bread. Cranberry sauce provides a sweet and tangy contrast to the savory meat and stuffing.

      5. Optional Additions:

      If you have leftover roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes, you can add them to your sandwich for extra flavor and texture.

      6. Warm the Gravy:

      Reheat leftover gravy in a saucepan or microwave until it's warm. Drizzle a bit of the warm gravy over the turkey or ham and stuffing layers. This will add moisture and richness to the sandwich.
